The steel mills in Japan had recently begun to prepare for the wire rod exportation for the coming fourth quarter this year. Due to the global rising trend of the prices of steel, the price of wire rods had also increased followingly.
It was true that the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on the steel industries in Japan had been largely reduced. The recovery of the automobile had boosted the demand for steel, which made the demand for steel in the Japanese market had gradually returned to the normal level.
However, for the wire rod exports, some Japanese manufacturers were still worried about the rivals such as South Korea's POSCO will have sales strategy which might affect the prices of wire rod prices and cause Japan's export plan more arduous to achieve.
